EDEA FREEDOM – THE REVOLUTIONARY ROLLER SKATING COLLECTION
WHY THE CHANGE
In 2020 roller skating changed with technical skills being combined with artistry and the judging criteria completely rewritten. The nature of roller skating changed overnight and what roller skaters needed also changed.
This got us thinking about our boots. Was there a way that we could design a boot that responded more quickly and therefore gave skaters greater control?
The new judging system got us thinking if we could design a better boot. By changing the center of gravity, the skater is in a more natural position, increasing control and stability. The raised toe means a new more comfortable shape.
During testing, it quickly became clear that the new boots gave not only a technical advantage but with the increased flow, a new sense of Freedom. The boot now had a name.

When we began testing the new models, we discovered that some skaters were choosing a size smaller than in the old models because, as we know, smaller sizes increase agility. This size reduction was made possible by the increased toe room of the Freedom range.
This change might be significant for other skaters, so we are recommending everybody checks their sizes when they switch to Freedom and we will highlight this feature to both skaters and dealers.
